Born in Melbourne in 1963, Hearman completed a Bachelor of Fine Arts at the Victorian College of the Arts in 1984. She later taught drawing and painting at the VCA and RMIT University. Since the early 1990s Hearman has exhibited her work widely across Australian in both solo and group exhibitions. Her work is included in many public and private collections around Australia: NGA, NGV, AGNSW, Tarra Warra and Artbank. She is represented by Roslyn Oxley 9 Gallery, Sydney and Tolarno Galleries, Melbourne. This would be the first work by Hearman to enter the Gallery’s collection.
